Seattle Veterans Launch AI-Powered Platform for Startup Founders

A pair of experienced technology and education professionals from Seattle have introduced a new platform designed to guide startup founders through one of the toughest phases of building a company — turning an idea into a product that customers actually want.

Startup advisor Dave Parker and strategist Kathy Cox officially launched the Trajectory Playbook on Tuesday. The new education platform aims to help entrepreneurs move from early ideation to product-market fit using a structured, step-by-step learning program.

The platform is built around the concepts from Parker’s 2021 book, Trajectory: Startup — Ideation to Product/Market Fit. However, the new digital version expands on the original material by adding modern tools such as artificial intelligence features and built-in networking opportunities for founders.

At its core, Trajectory Playbook is a 10-module course designed to walk entrepreneurs through the early stages of building a startup. The program encourages founders to focus first on validating their market and understanding potential customers before diving into more technical aspects like revenue models, financial planning, and fundraising strategies.

Parker brings decades of experience working with early-stage companies. Over the years, he has held several CEO and board positions and has played an active role in the startup community. He previously served as startup programs chair at the Washington Technology Industry Association, where he helped support innovation across the region. Parker also spent nearly 11 years mentoring founders at the Techstars accelerator and previously served as director of the Founder Institute.

Cox, Parker’s partner on the project, brings a strong background in strategy, marketing, and higher education. She spent more than a decade at City University of Seattle and currently works as an instructor and course developer at the University of Washington. In addition, she teaches innovation and strategy as a doctoral-level instructor at Capella University.

According to Cox, the goal of the platform is simple: help founders move faster while making smarter decisions.

“Trajectory is about accelerating results,” she said. “We’re giving entrepreneurs the tools, structure, and community they need to move from idea to execution with clarity and confidence.”

The complete Trajectory Playbook program costs $1,900 and includes access to all 10 modules. Participants also receive feedback on their action plans along with opportunities to engage in discussions with peers and experienced mentors. Members of the Washington Technology Industry Association are eligible for a discounted price.

With the growing number of aspiring founders looking for guidance, Parker and Cox believe their new platform could help fill a critical gap — giving entrepreneurs a practical roadmap for transforming early concepts into viable businesses.
