Google Rolls Out ‘Search Live’ Worldwide for Real-Time AI Help

Google is taking its next big step in AI-powered search. The company has announced that its conversational feature, Search Live, is now expanding globally—reaching users in more than 200 countries and territories where AI Mode is supported.

Originally introduced in July 2025, Search Live started as a limited rollout in the U.S. and India. Now, it’s going worldwide, bringing a more interactive and visual way to search for information.

At its core, Search Live lets users point their smartphone camera at objects and ask questions in real time. Instead of typing, you can speak naturally and get responses instantly—almost like having a conversation with your phone. The feature also understands what your camera sees, making it especially useful for tasks like setting up furniture, identifying objects, or troubleshooting everyday problems.

This global push is powered by Google’s latest AI model, Gemini 3.1 Flash Live. According to the company, the upgraded model makes conversations feel smoother, faster, and more intuitive than before.

Using Search Live is simple. Just open the Google app on Android or iOS and tap the “Live” icon under the search bar. From there, you can ask questions out loud and get spoken responses. You can continue the interaction with follow-up questions or explore additional web links for deeper information.

Google says the feature is built for situations where typing isn’t convenient. For example, if you’re trying to install a shelf or fix something at home, you can turn on your camera and let Search Live guide you step by step based on what it sees.

There’s also a seamless connection with Google Lens. If you’re already using Lens, you can switch to the Live feature directly by tapping the option at the bottom of the screen.

Alongside this update, Google is also expanding its real-time translation capabilities. The “Live Translate” feature from Google Translate is now rolling out to iOS users and reaching more regions worldwide. Newly supported countries include Germany, Spain, France, Nigeria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Bangladesh, and Thailand.

With this expansion, users on both Android and iOS can access real-time translations through headphones in more than 70 languages—making conversations across different languages easier than ever.

Overall, Google’s latest updates signal a clear shift toward more natural, voice-first, and context-aware interactions—bringing AI closer to everyday life.
