Picsart Launches Creator Earnings Program for All
2 min read
Design platform Picsart is stepping deeper into the creator economy with a new way for users to make money directly from their work. The company has unveiled a creator monetization program that’s open to everyone—no invite required and no minimum follower count needed.
The idea is simple: create, share, and earn. With this new program, creators can participate in specific campaigns by producing original content using Picsart’s tools. Once their work is published on social media, earnings are calculated based on engagement—such as views, comments, shares, and reach—rather than just audience size.
This marks a major shift for Picsart, which is evolving from being just a creative tool into a full-fledged earning platform for digital creators. The move is likely aimed at attracting more users while keeping existing creators active and engaged.
After signing up, creators gain access to a dedicated dashboard that lists ongoing campaigns and creative challenges. For instance, one campaign might ask users to design cute, fluffy characters using Picsart Aura, the platform’s AI-powered assistant that can generate and animate visuals through text or voice prompts.
However, Picsart is clear about one thing: simply posting AI-generated content won’t guarantee earnings. The company emphasizes that creativity and originality still matter when it comes to driving meaningful engagement.
To participate, creators need to submit their content by sharing it on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or X. They then upload the content link, tag it according to campaign rules, and describe how it was created using Picsart tools. From there, performance metrics determine how much they earn.
Payments are tracked in real time through the creator dashboard, and users can withdraw their earnings via Stripe.
Speaking about the launch, Picsart founder and CEO Hovhannes Avoyan highlighted the company’s vision of making creativity more rewarding for everyone. He noted that the creator economy has long struggled to fairly compensate everyday users, and this program is designed to change that.
Founded in 2011, Picsart now boasts over 130 million users globally and became a unicorn during the creator economy boom in 2021.
This new initiative comes shortly after the company introduced an AI agent marketplace, where users can “hire” AI tools for tasks like editing product images or optimizing social media content. Together, these updates show that Picsart is doubling down on AI and creator monetization—two trends shaping the future of digital content.
