Everything Google Announced at Made by Google 2026

Google used its Made by Google 2026 event to unveil a broad lineup of new hardware and AI-powered features. The company introduced the Pixel 11 family, Pixel Watch 5, a new Pixel Tag tracking device, and several Gemini updates designed to make everyday interactions with Pixel devices more useful.

AI was a major focus throughout the event, but Google also made significant changes to its hardware, including redesigned phones, tougher displays, a thinner foldable, and expanded health features for its smartwatch.

Gemini gets smarter across Pixel devices

Google dedicated a significant part of the event to Gemini and the ways its AI assistant can work across its ecosystem.

One of the biggest accessibility updates is an expansion of Live Transcribe to support American Sign Language. With the help of the Pixel Camera, users can translate sign language into text, offering another communication option without requiring someone to type.

Google also introduced a new voice-input feature called Rambler. Instead of requiring users to speak in perfectly structured sentences, Rambler is designed to understand more natural speech, including filler words, run-on sentences, and less organized thoughts. The goal is to better understand what users mean even when their speech isn’t perfectly phrased.

Circle to Search is also becoming easier to use from the Pixel Camera. Users can identify objects, search for distant items, translate text, or ask questions about something they see without having to leave the camera experience.

Pixel 11 gets a thinner camera bar and more storage

The standard Pixel 11 arrives with a redesigned camera bar that is more than 40% thinner than the previous generation. Google has also switched to an all-glass surface that extends across the phone’s width.

Storage is another major change. The Pixel 11 now starts with 256GB, twice the previous base capacity of 128GB.

However, the extra storage comes with a higher starting price. The Pixel 11 starts at $899, which is $100 more than the Pixel 10. Google has eliminated the 128GB model, while the ongoing RAM supply shortage is also contributing to the price increase.

The Pixel 11 will be offered in Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio, and Obsidian.

Pixel 11 Pro focuses on durability

Google is putting more emphasis on durability with the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL.

The company says both models have improved drop resistance and feature a new anti-scratch display coating. According to Google, the coating delivers more than twice the scratch resistance of the Pixel 10 Pro models.

The Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099, up from the $999 starting price of the Pixel 10 Pro.

Color options include Canyon, Fog, Olive, and Obsidian. The Obsidian version gets a new all-matte finish this year.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold gets thinner and tougher

Google’s latest foldable is also receiving a major physical redesign. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is nearly 10% lighter and almost 1mm thinner than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

The foldable comes with slimmer bezels, a 48-megapixel main camera, and 30x Super Zoom. Google is also building on the IP68 water and dust resistance introduced with the previous generation.

For added durability, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold uses a glass-fiber composite back cover intended to reduce the risk of cracking. Google has also redesigned the hinge to provide additional protection for the inner display.

According to Google, these changes make the Pixel 11 Pro Fold three times more durable than its predecessor.

The phone will be available in Olive and Obsidian.

Pixel Tag takes on Apple’s AirTag

Google is finally entering the tracker market with Pixel Tag, a small device designed to help users locate everyday items such as keys, wallets, and luggage.

Pixel Tag works with Android’s Find Hub network, allowing users to view the location of their tagged belongings through the Find Hub app, Google’s answer to Apple’s Find My network.

The Pixel Tag costs $29 for one unit, while a four-pack costs $99. Users can also locate the tag from a Pixel Watch.

Google is adding Gemini integration as well. Pixel Buds users can ask Gemini to find or ring a Pixel Tag, giving them a voice-based way to locate misplaced belongings.

Pixel Watch 5 adds health tracking features

The Pixel Watch 5 is also getting new health-focused capabilities.

Through the Google Health app, users will receive monthly summaries showing blood pressure trends. The feature is designed to help people identify patterns over a longer period rather than focusing only on individual readings.

The app will also provide monthly summaries of insulin resistance trends.

Pricing starts at $399 for the 41mm Pixel Watch 5 and $429 for the larger 45mm version. Google is also launching a Stephen Curry edition priced at $579, featuring an exclusive design aimed at workouts.

Pixel Buds get a new color

Google also gave its Pixel Buds Pro lineup a small refresh. The earbuds will now be available in an Olive color, matching one of the new color choices appearing across Google’s latest hardware lineup.

Overall, Made by Google 2026 was as much about Google’s AI strategy as it was about new hardware. The Pixel 11 lineup brings updated designs and durability improvements, Pixel Tag expands Google’s device ecosystem into item tracking, and Pixel Watch 5 adds new health insights. Meanwhile, Gemini continues to become more deeply integrated into how users interact with Google’s devices.
