GoodShip Raises $25M, Opens Bellevue HQ to Fuel Growth

Freight logistics software startup GoodShip has secured $25 million in Series B funding and announced plans to open its first physical office in downtown Bellevue, Washington, marking a significant milestone in the company’s rapid growth.

Founded in 2022, GoodShip provides businesses with a centralized platform for managing shipping operations and logistics data. Its software helps companies oversee key functions such as finance, procurement, carrier management, freight analytics, and other critical processes involved in transporting goods across the country.

The funding will support the company’s continued expansion as demand grows for technology that helps businesses improve visibility and efficiency across their supply chains.

Rapid Growth Since Launch

Despite being less than three years old, GoodShip has built an impressive customer base that includes well-known brands such as Kellanova, Reser’s Fine Foods, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, and Tropicana.

The startup also reported exceptional business momentum, revealing that its annual recurring revenue (ARR) increased tenfold during 2024.

As more companies look to modernize freight operations with data-driven software, GoodShip has positioned itself as a platform that simplifies complex shipping workflows while improving operational decision-making.

New Bellevue Office Becomes Company Headquarters

Alongside the funding announcement, GoodShip confirmed it will establish a new office in downtown Bellevue, giving the company its first permanent physical location.

Until now, GoodShip has operated as a fully remote business. The Bellevue office will now serve as the company’s official headquarters.

The startup currently employs 14 people in the Seattle area and nearly 40 employees overall, with leadership split between two cities.

CEO Ryan Soskin is based in Nashville, while Chief Technology Officer David Tsai works from Seattle.

Founded by Former Convoy Leaders

GoodShip was launched by Soskin and Tsai after both previously worked at Seattle-based trucking technology startup Convoy.

Their experience building freight technology products has helped shape GoodShip’s software platform, which focuses on giving businesses a clearer view of logistics operations and shipping performance through a single, integrated system.

Investors Back Logistics Software Growth

The Series B funding round was led by Greenfield Partners.

Existing and new investors participating in the financing include:

  • Bessemer Venture Partners
  • Ironspring Ventures
  • Chicago Ventures
  • FUSE, the Bellevue-based venture capital firm

The investment highlights continued confidence in software platforms designed to improve supply chain management, even as overall venture funding for logistics startups has slowed from the record levels seen during the pandemic.

Seattle Region Remains a Logistics Tech Hub

The Seattle area continues to be one of the leading centers for logistics and supply chain technology startups in the United States.

Investment in freight and logistics companies surged to record highs in 2021, driven by global supply chain disruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, total funding and deal activity declined significantly through 2024 as venture investors became more selective.

Despite that slowdown, GoodShip’s latest funding round signals that investors remain willing to back startups demonstrating strong customer adoption and rapid revenue growth.

With fresh capital, an expanding customer base, and a new headquarters in Bellevue, GoodShip is positioning itself for its next stage of growth as businesses continue seeking smarter ways to manage increasingly complex freight operations.
